<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the thickness of a housing for a cylinder body by forming the housing by folding steel plate material in a master cylinder having the cylinder body and a reservoir tank. SOLUTION: As a housing constituting the outside of a cylinder body 2, a housing 20 formed by folding a steel plate material is used, and a sleeve 10 is stored in the housing 20. The housing 20 is constructed of a combination of a rear housing 21 and a front housing 22 divided longitudinally in the longitudinal direction of the cylinder main body 2. In the vicinity of a joint part between the rear housing 21 and the front housing 22, an annular packing member 14 is fitted between them so as to surely prevent leakage of fluid to the outside. The housing 20 storing the sleeve 10 is formed by folding a steel plate material. In this way, the thickness of the housing 20 can be reduced.</p> |
