<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To keep the quality of a final effluent high and remarkably make suppressible the generation amount of sludge, by adding pyroligneous acid during a treatment process in a biochemical treatment method for organic waste water. SOLUTION: Pyroligneous acid is added during a treatment process 3, which biochemically treats organic wastewater. Sludge proliferates in the biological treatment process 3, and as the pyroligneous acid works more effectively in this process, an aeration tank, which is used for the biological treatment process 3, is suitable as a place into which the pyroligneous acid is added. A part of treated liquids of a sedimentation process 4, a concentration process 6, and a storage process 7 are usually circulated to the biological treatment process 3, the addition of the pyroligneous acid in these processes can give the same effect. As for the addition amount of the pyroligneous acid to usual domestic wastewater, it is preferable that the addition is carried out intermittently to the volume of the aeration tank so that the concentration is about 0.01 to 100 ppb as a TOC. As the pyroligneous acid, pyroligneous acid that is derived from a broad-leaved tree is used.</p> |
