<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make economically and effectively treatable mud in a mud treating method solidifying mud of high moisture, by adding coal ash to the mud and mixing them to produce a granular material. SOLUTION: Mud (sludge), which has precipitated in a lake, a dam, or a harbor, is collected to be added and mixed with well-known coal ash of a thermal power station, for example. In the mud mixed with the coal ash, a lime component contained in the coal ash acts on the moisture in the mud. The action caused by the addition and mixing of the coal ash recycles the mud as granular soil. The addition of the coal ash increases a liquid limit of the mixed mud, and decreases the moisture ratio, thereby facilitating the granulation. Or, before the coal ash is added to and mixed with the mud, a powdery cement-based solidification material is added to and mixed with the mud, and then the coal ash is added to and mixed with the mud, which has been mixed with the cement-based solidification material, thereby recycling the mud as granular soil.</p> |
