PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To discriminate vehicular collision forms adequately and start an occupant crash protection device adequately responding to the discriminated result. SOLUTION: In this device, a floor sensor 32 is provided on the floor of a vehicular cabin and satellite sensors 30 (30R) are provided on the right/left and upper/lower plural places of a vehicular front part. Those sensors 30 (30R), 32 are made to an acceleration sensor for outputting the acceleration of the vehicular front/rear direction as the continous value and based on these measurement value, the difference or ratio of a relative acceleration, relative speed and relative moving amount against the floors of plural places of the vehicular front part is calculated by a collision form discrimination part 41 and based on this calculation result, the collision form discriminated. Responding to the discriminated result, a threshold value is decided by the threshold decision part 42 and when the calculation value based on the measurement value of the floor sensor exceeds the decided threshold value, the occupant crash protection device of the air bag device is started. |
