PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform an operation for connection between a side plate and a car floor efficiently using an inexpensive baseboard and improve a decorative metal fitting mounting operation and designing property. SOLUTION: This car is formed so that a side plate mounting part 1a projecting toward this as viewed from the inside of the car is installed on the upper part of a baseboard 1 fixed to the peripheral edge part of a car floor 2 and a side plate 4 installed on the side plate mounting part 1a is fixedly tightened to the side plate mounting part 1a with bolts 3. Accordingly, by using a simple- shaped inexpensive baseboard 1, the operation for connection between the side plate 4 and the car floor 2 can be performed surely from the inside of the car. In addition, a decorative metal fitting 5 is provided between the lower end part of the side plate 4 and the car floor 2, and the decorative metal fitting 5 is attracted magnetically to the baseboard 1 through a permanent magnet 12. Since flat countersunk head screws for mounting the decorative metal fitting 5 are not required, an operating efficiency at the time of assembly is increased and also the designing property can be increased.
