PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an easily operated and inexpensive profiling device for a thermal cutting machine which enables a diagonal cutting in an edge preparation and other workings of a work having a free curve. SOLUTION: In the profiling device for a thermal cutting machine which profiles a moving trace of a thermal cutting torch with a stylus roller which rolls in contact with the outer peripheral face of a template, a pair of stylus rollers 27 and 27, which are simultaneously, freely and rotatably in contact with the outer peripheral face of the same template 50, and have rotation axes which are parallel with each other and separated by a specified distance, and a thermal cutting torch 40 having an axial center on a torch surface perpendicular to a surface including both rotating axes of a pair of the stylus rollers 27 and 27 and located at an approximately central position between both rotation axes, are provided. It is also possible to provide a supporting member which supports the thermal cutting torch 40 with an inclination on the torch face corresponding to a groove angle. The outer peripheral face of the template is profiled by a regulation roller of an offset regulation means.
