PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To rapidly erase a character or the like described on an electronic white board by coating a surface of a white board with a photocatalyst, and constituting the white board so that contents described on the white board are automatically erased by moving a light source on the white board. SOLUTION: This electronic white board comprises a white board 1, a light source moving member 3 moving to reciprocate along a surface of the white board on the white board 1, and a light source 4. The white board 1 is constituted by providing a photocatalyst layer 2 coated with a photocatalyst thereon. As the used photocatalyst, a titanium oxide, tungsten oxide, zinc oxide, tin oxide, iron oxide or the like is used. The layer 2 is formed in a range of 0.1 to 3.0μm. The member 3 is constituted movably on the white board 1 by a motor. The light source 4 extended in a direction perpendicular to its moving direction is provided. As the light source 4, a germicidal lamp, a black-light lamp, a fluorescent lamp or the like is used.
