INTRAORAL JIG FOR OPTICAL MEASUREMENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure the physical quantity of biotissue within the oral cavity with good reproducibility. SOLUTION: Recessed parts 4 fitting to the inner side of the teeth on an upper side and recessed parts 6 fitting the teeth on a lower side are formed at a jig body made of a resin. The jig body has a portion 8 which comes into tight contact with the palate part. An optical fiber bundle 10 for measurement is embedded into the jig body and the front end face 12 of the optical fiber bundle 10 is exposed to the portion 8 where the jig body comes into tight contact with the palate part. This front end face is formed flush with the portion 8. A heater and temperature sensor for maintaining the temperature of the jig body and a pressure sensor 16 for detecting the pressure to bite the jig body are further embedded into the jig body.
