PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve durability against shock and abrasion of a handle knob attached to a handle arm mounted on a handle shaft of a fishing reel, and to prevent the slipping in the holding operation in the fishing operation, and the lowering of sensitivity due to a low temperature. SOLUTION: Knob-supporting shafts 8 are protruded form both end parts of a handle arm 7 attached to the outer end of a handle shaft 6, in the outward direction, and metallic handle knobs 10 having concave parts 9 formed on the periphery of the knob-supporting shafts 8 except terminal parts are rotatably supported by the knob-supporting shafts 8. A nonmetallic material 12 such as a synthetic resin and a rubber familiar to fingers is fitted in the concave parts 9 to prevent the shock and abrasion of the handle knob by the metallic handle knob 10 and to improve the holding function by the nonmetallic material 12.
