摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photoelectron emission material capable of effectively emitting an anion for a long duration and to provide an anion generation apparatus using the material. SOLUTION: This anion generation apparatus comprises a photoelectron emission material 3 and an ultraviolet ray source 1 for in radiating ultraviolet rays to the photoelectron emission material. In this case, regarding a photoelectron emission material 3 composed of a substance capable of emitting photoelectrons by ultraviolet ray in radiation and a substance having a photocatalytic function by ultraviolet ray in radiation and disposed as to be in the same plane together the former substance, (1) the photocatalyst is produced by at first sticking the substance capable of emitting photoelectrons to a Ti substrate and then firing Ti, the resultant substrate, at 600-1200 deg.C in an oxygen-containing atmosphere or (2) TiO2, which is a photocatalyst, is fixed by at first sticking the substance capable of emitting photoelectrons to an Al or Al alloy substrate, anodizing the Al or Al alloy substrate, and then fixing TiO2.
