<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a swash plate for swash type compressor, which includes an excellent forging process, and which has advantages that defective forging is few, a load to a die is small and even the machining of a shaft hole to be provided in a center part can simultaneously be performed. SOLUTION: This method for manufacturing the swash plate is constituted so that a forging process is included as follows; that is, by using a forming punch 11 for a shaft hole and a forging die having a recessed part 21 in a position opposed to this punch 11, by housing a forging stock 3 having a columnar external size in this forging die, and by filling a cavity 30 with the forging stock 3 after subjecting the forging stock 3 to a plastic flow, a product part 4 having a required product shape and an incidental part 5 which is formed by that excess base stock which is continuously incidental to the outside of the product part 4 and which does not form the product part 4 out of the forging stock 3, performs the plastic flow to the recessed part 21, are formed as one body.</p> |
