PURIFIED ANTITHROMBIN-III AND ITS PRODUCTION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide purified antithrombin-III not having fear of viral infection and not containing substantially cloven antithrombin-III having fear about the side effect. SOLUTION: This purified antithrombin-III substantially not containing active virus and cloven antithrombin-III is obtained by subjecting human plasma or a derived human plasma fraction to a purification process at a temperature not higher than 130 deg.C using immobilized heparin, by subjecting the human plasma or the derived human plasma fraction to a drying process and by heating the dried antithrombin-III until the virus is inactivated.
