PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an alkoxysilane in high yield by reacting metal silicon particles with an alcohol in the presence of a catalyst while stirring medium particles in a gas phase system and a fluidized bed to which stirring operation is added, pulverizing the reaction residue and selectively scattering and removing the reaction residue. SOLUTION: (B) Metal silicon particles, preferably having >=90 wt.% purity and <=2 mm average particle diameter are reacted with (C) an alcohol (e.g. methanol or ethanol) in the presence of a catalyst (e.g. copper oxide or copper chloride) in a gas phase and a fluidized bed to which stirring operation is added while stirring medium particles (e.g. silica, alumina or zirconia), preferably having 1.0-50 mm particle diameter, pulverizing the reaction residue arid selectively scattering and removing the reaction residue. Furthermore, in the above reaction, the component A is preferably used in an amount of 0.001-0.1 mol based on 1 mol component B.
