PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a skin cleansing preparation with an amino acid-based anionic surfactant as the cleansing base, capable of mildly cleansing the skin without causing any skin roughing, affording rich foaming and creamy, elastic foam quality, giving highly dampish feel after washing, and high in stability at high temperatures as well. SOLUTION: This skin cleansing preparation comprises a cleansing base consisting mainly of an amino acid-based anionic surfactant and at least one kind of moisturizer selected from polyhydric alcohols, saccharides and sugar alcohols in the weight ratio of the amino acid-based anionic surfactant to moisturizer of 1: (1.0-2.5), wherein a polyglycerol 2-10 in mean polymerization degree accounts for >=50 wt.% in the moisturizer.
