PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a cosmetic excellent in volume effects for making each of eyelashes appear to be thick, in usability, uniformity and beautifulness of finish by formulating an acrylalkylamide-acrylic ester copolymer in an amount within a specific range. SOLUTION: This composition comprises 6-20 wt.%, preferably 7-20 wt.%, more preferably 8-14 wt.% of an acrylalkylamide-acrylic ester copolymer represented by the formula ((m) and (n) are each 1-1,000; R1 is a 4-12C alkyl, preferably octyl; R2 and R3 are each H or a 1-8C alkyl) [e.g. Amphomer V-40 (R) (manufactured by Nippon NSC K.K.)]. Ingredients which are usually permitted of formulation in cosmetics, medicines, quasi-drugs, or the like, for the vicinity of eyes such as an inorganic or an organic pigment or an inorganic or an organic powder that are nonirritant to the eyes or skin can be formulated as other ingredients.
