PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a formation excellent in safety function as well as service function by suppressing a wheelchair transport time to a minimum in multiple- unit transit type passenger conveyor. SOLUTION: This conveyor comprises a first passenger conveyor 1 having a special step unit 1C in a row of regular steps 1A connected endlessly to each other and a second passenger conveyor 2 connected to the route of the first passenger conveyor 1 and having a special step unit 2C in a row of a regular step 2A, both installed in a transit type. In this case, a preparation instruction for wheelchair transportation is given electrically to the special step unit 2C in connection with a wheelchair transport operation by the special step unit 1C.
