SAFETY DEVICE FOR ENTRANCE OF ELEVATOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safety device for entrance of an elevator capable of reducing a clearance between a car door and a landing door. SOLUTION: This safety device is disposed on the sides of a light emitting device 4 and a light receiving device 5 through mounting bolts 11a and 11b, and comprises covers 10a and 10b closing a clearance between a car door 1 and a landing door 2. It prevents a hand from entering into the clearance or an object is collided with the light emitting device 4 and light receiving device 5 so as to reduce the number of accidents at the entrance of an elevator or troubles of the safety device. Thus the device can prevent the hand from entering into the clearance between the car door and the landing door to reduce the number of accidents at the entrance of the elevator or troubles of the safety device.
