PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reset reliably and automatically a count value of a position counter even if an error occurs by resetting a count value of a roof position counting means when the count value is out of a predetermined range with reference to an edge of a generated output shaft rotation signal. SOLUTION: This control system 1 has a roof position counting means 14 to count first and second rotation signal from first and second rotation signal generation means 4, 5 and output shaft rotation signal for an output shaft 73 from an output shaft rotation signal generation means 6, and memorize a position of a sunroof lid 50. When this count value is out of a predetermined range with reference to an edge of the output shaft rotation signal from the output shaft rotation signal generation means 6, the count value of the roof position counting means 14 is reset. For implementing such initial mode, a control unit MCU is provided. A subroutine of the initial mode is utilized for resetting when an error occurs.
