PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disinfection method for Staphylococcus aureus capable of expressing an antibacterial activity to Staphylococcus aureus and disinfecting the Staphylococcus aureus by inoculating a specific microorganism belonging to the genus Brachybacterium. SOLUTION: This method disinfects Staphylococcus aureus by inoculating a specific microorganism belonging to the genus Brachybacterium to the Staphylococcus aureus. The microorganism is a Brachybacterium strain AAA-a (FERM P-16951) having the following bacteriological properties. Form: polymorphic bacillus; Gram staining: +; spore: -; motility: -; motility: -; attitude to oxygen: aerobic; oxidase: -; catalase: +; color tone of the colony: yellowish color; and the like. The microrganism excellently grows in a usual nutrient medium and excellently proliferates in incubation temperature at 5-30 deg.C. The microorganism is capable of being used for various uses in a form of dispersing liquid in which the microorganism is dispersed in water or liquid, and preferably used as an easy to handle immobilized microorganism on a support. |
