PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To induce the subject cells by adding an antibody against a cell surface antigen to human cells in their culturing stage, or the like, so as to utilize the subject cells in efficient and side effect-free therapeutic systems for diseases involving immune system's abnormal sthenia. SOLUTION: Antigen-specific cytotoxicity inhibitory cells are induced by adding to human cells, during or after culturing them in vitro in the presence of an antigen as a cause of e.g. an autoimmune disease such as multiple sclerosis, rheumatism or insulin-dependent diabetes, an antibody against a cell surface antigen such as anti-CD2 antibody, e.g. an antibody bindable to a segment involved in binding CD2 to LFA-3, or bindable to another segment, wherein the anti-CD2 antibody to be added is pref. anti-CD2 antibody TS2/18 or anti-CD2 antibody 35.1. Furthermore, it is preferable that cells derived from patients suffered from autoimmune diseases are cultured in vitro in the presence of an antigen and antibody thereto to produce autoimmune inhibitory cells transferable into such patients. |
