PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cake material feeder capable of avoiding the complication of a transportation apparatus connected to the feeder apparatus and a rise in cost and reducing labor for the maintenance of the transportation apparatus. SOLUTION: The outlet opening of a hopper 11 of a feeder 1 is equipped with plural feed roll pairs 5 arranged in the width direction of the apparatus. The outer peripheries of disc rolls 51 and 52 of each feed roll pair 5 are mutually closely positioned and the disk rolls 51 and 52 are rotated in the mutually reverse directions to form a material feed space P which receives a fixed amount of a cake material with the rotation, closes and reduces the cake material to a fixed volume and releases the cake material to the outside of the hopper 11. The formation positions of recessed parts 511 and 512 of the adjoining feed roll pairs 5 are mutually shifted in the circumferential direction so that timings at which the material feed space P is released to the outside of the hopper 11 are differed. Fixed amounts of the cake material discharged at different timings from a fixed number of the feed roll pairs are guided by a guide chute 1 to the approximately same interval position of each forming mold of a forming machine and fed to a transportation apparatus 2.
