PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent sedimentation of spherical spacers, to prevent thereby lowering of a highly viscous liquid under its own weight and also to keep a layer thickness thereof uniform. SOLUTION: This functional material laminate has a constitution wherein a functional material 4 and spherical spacers 6 are disposed in a gap between bases 2 and 3 one of which, at least, is made transparent partially or wholly. In this case, a film layer 7 softer than the spherical spacers 6 is disposed at least on one of the surfaces of the bases facing the functional material 4, while the disposition volume of the functional material 4 is set to be 95-50% to 100% of the product of the disposition area of the material 4 and the grain size of the spacers 6, and the functional material 4 is sealed in between the bases 2 and 3 so that the spherical spacers 6 may sink into the film layer 7. |
