<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove a substance such as dioxin, NOX, an endocrine disrupter or the like by putting mordenite zeolite tuff into practical use as an absorbing material and a filter medium. SOLUTION: A method for sprinkling mordenite zeolite tuff over the passage of an exhaust gas flue in a shower-like state and an apparatus of a filtering action process by a hollow system are set as a fundamental structure. The exhaust gas containing dioxin issued from an incinerator is brought into contact with mordenite zeolite tuff which is put to practical use as an adsorbing or filtering medium to adsorb dioxin or a harmful substance. The tuff used in adsorption is put in a high temp.-resistant form and baked (at about 1,200 deg.C) to eliminate the harmful substance. The baked and solidified tuff has other one feature becoming a porous block and is used as glaze in ceramic art and the use thereof can be expected in many fields of a water permeable beautiful tile and the like.</p> |
