<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily acquire train information in a desired station by constructing a database including train information in each station and getting access to the database from a portable terminal. SOLUTION: This train information providing system 1 stores train information in each station into a database 10. An input processing part 11 receives an query electronic mail 3 from a pocket telephone 2 as a portable terminal through a communication line. A retrieval part 12 retrieves the database 10 based on query information included in the query electronic mail 3 received by an input processing part 11. An output processing part 13 transmits, to the pocket telephone, an electronic return mail 4 including the information of the departure time of a train which is retrieved by a retrieval part 12, starts within a fixed time after a designated departure time at a designated boarding station, and stops at a designated stopping station.</p> |
