PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain sure seal effect by vulcanizing and adhering rubber coat layers on surfaces of a gasket substrate, and coating gel materials on both surfaces of the rubber coat layer, in a cylinder head gasket provided with the gasket substrate held between a cylinder head and a cylinder block. SOLUTION: A cylinder head gasket 1 is held between a cylinder head 2 and a cylinder block 3, its part is sealed, and the gasket 1 is provided with a gasket substrate 12 made of one metallic plate, and rubber coat layers 13 are vulcanized and adhered on both surfaces of the gasket substrate 12, and gel materials 14 are coated on both surface of the both rubber coat layers 13. the gasket substrate 12 may be constituted by laminating a plurality of metallic plates or may use a resin plate. Since the gel material 14 of the surface of the rubber coat layer 13 has a high fluidity, the gel material 14 is easily filled into a recessed part of the cylinder head 2, and thereby, its part is sealed in a good condition.
