PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make maintainable all the pH values of kinds of electrolytic water having different effective chlorine concentrations obtained from one kind of water to be electrolyzed within a proper range without requiring a special controller for adjusting pH by adding sodium chloride and succinic acid of a specified ratio. SOLUTION: Water to be electrolyzed is prepared by adding sodium chloride and 0.002-0.7 w/v % succinic acid. The concentration of sodium chloride is set up at 0.9 w/v %. In electrolytic water obtained by the electrolysis of the water to be electrolyzed, pH is and the effective concentration of chlorine are set up at 3-7 and 1-200 ppm, respectively. In two kinds of electrolytic water in which the difference of effective chlorine concentrations is 30 ppm, the pH and effective chlorine concentration of each kind of electrolytic water are set up at 3-7 and 1-200 ppm, respectively. In this way, a kind of electrolytic water in which hypochlorous acid exists stably is prepared, and a sterilization capacity is kept for a long time by the action of succinic acid. |
