PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a burning method for producing a ceramic sheet having high flexibility from a green sheet and provide a burning apparatus therefor. SOLUTION: Since the temperature increasing rate is set to a level as high as about 50 deg.C/min in the present burning method, there is little formation of seed crystal from amorphous silica fiber contained in the green sheet 12 in the heating process and little growth of seed crystal if any. Accordingly, the crystallization ratio of the amorphous silica fiber during the burning process can be suppressed to an extremely low level and the most part of the fiber is maintained to the amorphous state to suppress the lowering or loss of flexibility and mechanical strength of a ceramic sheet 10. Consequently, the objective process enables the production of an easily handleable windable continuous ceramic sheet 10. |
