PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a highly water adsorptive resin suitable for using in paper diaper, etc. SOLUTION: In the manufacturing method of a highly water absorptive resin by suspension polymn. by supplying an aq. monomer solution contg. a monovinyl monomer and a crosslinking agent in a hydrophobic org. solvent under a polymn. condition, the average mol ratio of the crosslinking agent to the monovinyl monomer supplied to the monomer solution until the supplied monomer is 40% is lower than that during the supplied monomer is 40% to 99%.
