PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively use resources, save expences, and improve assembling workability, by making the cushioning member usable as a displaying pedestal in common and integrally forming a wall surrounding the bottom face and a printed indication part which can be freely erected and prostrated to the under face side of the bottomface. SOLUTION: This cushioning member 1 is constituted of a main cushioning member 2, an auxiliary cushioning member 3, and a mounting piece 4. The bottom face 55 of the auxiliary cushioning member 3 is placed on the bottom face of the main cushioning member 2 formed rectangularly from corrugated card board. In this time, the auxiliary cushioning member 3 is contained in a section encircled surrounded with a wall 16 surrounded by the main cushioning member 2 or the like. Small incisions 76-78 formed in the mounting piece 4 are engagedly inserted in small incisions 40, 59, 73 of a cut and erected part 58 and a rising wall 71 of the auxiliary cushioning member 3. Then, an article is fitted in a fiting recess 80 formed in the cushioning member 1, and the cushioning member 1 is contained in a packaging case. When displaying the article, an indication part 43 and a support part 47 are bent by 90 degrees to erect and support it.
