PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmission for a tractor which permits installation of a shuttle transmission unit requiring lubrication in a dry type clutch chamber and lubrication of a synchromesh type clutch by a simple lubrication passage. SOLUTION: In a power transmission train for transmitting power of an engine 1 to wheels, a transmission for a tractor has a main transmission unit 24 to shift vehicle speed at a plurality of steps, and a shuttle transmission unit 21 having the same number of shift steps for forward and backward movement in a transmission case 2. The transmission case 2 is partitioned with a partition 15 into a clutch chamber 16 to house a main clutch 19 for connecting or disconnecting power from the engine 1, and a transmission chamber 17 to house the main transmission unit 24. Lubricating oil stored in the transmission chamber 17 is used as hydraulic oil. The shuttle transmission unit 21 is fixed to the partition 15 and configured such that it is disposed in a gear case 20 inside the clutch chamber 16, and return oil of the hydraulic oil is supplied to the gear case 20.
