PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the dimensional accuracy at a corner part of a completed box-like body by providing a positioning mechanism to position at least one of a die plate and a forming roller. SOLUTION: Substantially polygonal and parallel upper and lower surfaces and two side surfaces to respectively connect the upper and lower surfaces are provided on a substantially polygonal die plate 16 fixed to a working base supported by a frame, and a male die to form a corner part is formed on one corner part of a box-like body which is formed of the upper surface of one corner part, and two side surfaces connected to this upper surface. A forming roller 42 of substantially facing conical shape is moved along two side surfaces to form the male die at one corner part, and an excessive part of one corner part of the box-like body is deformed to be along two side surfaces to form a corner part. The corner part forming device for the box-like body is provided with a positioning mechanism 26 to position the die plate 16, the advancing/ retracting distance of the die plate 16 can be regulated thereby, and the appropriate positioning can be implemented according to the thickness of the box-like body.
