发明名称 DEVOLATILIZATION METHOD FOR POLYARYLENE SULFIDE
摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently decrease the content of volatile components as much as possible under mild conditions by heating pellets or a ground product of pellets of a polyarylene sulfide obtained by the polymerization in a solvent at the m.p. of the polyarylene sulfide or lower. SOLUTION: The shape of the pellets is not limited, and the shape of the section of them may be circular, elliptic, rectangular, or the like. The ground product of pellets may be in the form of a powder, granules, lumps, or the like. Preferably, the average particle size of the pellets or the grinding product of pellets is desirably 0.1-10 mm. The heating is done preferably at 250 deg.C or higher under a reduced pressure, usually under 1-20 kPa. Usually, the heating time is 0.1-5 hr. The deaeration effect can be enhanced by blowing steam or a hot inert gas, such as nitrogen, helium, or argon, during heating.
