PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control the oozing of ink due to the penetration of an adhesive into a surface base material and improve the recording sharpness by specifying a deviation width which serves as an indication of flocculating power in an adhesive layer, in an adhesive sheet obtained by laminating the surface base material for ink jet recording, the adhesive layer and a release paper. SOLUTION: In this adhesive sheet obtained by laminating a surface base material for ink jet recording, an adhesive layer and a release paper, the deviation width, which serves as an indication of flocculating power, of the adhesive layer measured at 60 deg.C after 12 hours in compliance with JIS-Z-0237, is set to be 0.6 mm or less. That is, the oozing of ink due to the penetration of an adhesive into the surface base material is not attributed to the deterioration of ink absorption due to the penetration of the whole adhesive but is attributed to the deterioration of the ink absorption due to the blocking of voids in the base material following the penetration of a monomeric polymer content of the adhesive layer into the base material. Consequently when the deviation width is 0.6 mm or more, a low-molecular-weight polymer is abundantly present in the adhesive layer and penetrates the base material. Therefore, the oozing of the ink is prevented from occurring by restraining the penetration. |
