PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correct skewing of a sheet without stopping transport of a sheet. SOLUTION: This skew sheet correcting device 100 includes an upstream transport means 102 for clamping both sides of a sheet with a pair of rotors arranged in the direction intersecting the sheet transport direction and transporting the same, a downstream transport means 103 for clamping both sides of a sheet with a pair of rotors arranged in the direction intersecting the sheet transport direction on the downstream of the upstream transport means and transporting the sheet more slowly than the upstream transport means, and a diameter changing means 105A for changing the diameter of the rotor of at least one pair of rotors of a pair of paired rotors of the upstream transport means. By this arrangement, though the rotating speed per unit hour of the paired rotors is constant, the diameter is changed to vary the peripheral speed, whereby skewing of a sheet can be corrected without stopping the sheet, so that skewing can be surely corrected and the transport efficiency of the sheet can be heightened.
