PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fishing rod enabling fishing capable of flexibly dealing with various situations to be performed by constituting the fishing rod in such a way as to be able to change the state in a region ranging from a reel locking part to the butt of the fishing rod. SOLUTION: This fishing rod has a fishing rod body 3 having both a reel locking part 2 for being mounted by a reel 1 and a handle rod 5 with a flat part 4 in at least its part, and is constituted as follows: the flat part 4 is located behind the reel locking part 2; and the handle rod 5 can relatively turn around the stem of the body 3.
