PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a flame-retardant thermoplastic resin composition having excellent flame retardance, impact resistance and chemical resistance, useful for an office automation instrument, etc., by kneading specific resins in a specified ratio. SOLUTION: This flame-retardant resin composition comprises (A) 89-40 wt.% of an aromatic-polycarbonate resin (component (a)), (B) 10-40 wt.% of a polyethylene terephthalate resin (component b) and (C) 1-20 wt.% of a mastered stabilized red phosphorus master composition (component c) composed of 65-85 wt.% of a polybutylene terephthalate resin (component x) and 15-35 wt.% of a stabilized red phosphorus (component y) in 100 wt.% of the total of the component (a), the component b and the component c.
