PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently capture and remove dust such as soot included in smoke and also capture dioxins included in the soot/dust by cooling the smoke such as exhaust gas appropriately, then moistening it and capturing the moistened smoke with added powder using a bag filter. SOLUTION: Exhaust gas from an incinerating furnace is introduced through a duct 1 and its temperature is lowered by spraying water to it with the help of a vaporization cooling and hydrating device 2. Further, the temperature is further lowered by a heat exchanger 3 and thus the exhaust gas is introduced into a moistening device 6 arranged on the top of a moistening and coalescing tower 7 through another duct 4. In this case, powder is added to the exhaust gas by a powder adding device 5 arranged halfway through the duct 4. In addition, the exhaust gas purified by a bag filter 8 arranged at the lower part of the moistening and coalescing tower 7 is sucked using an exhauster 11 from a shutoff damper 9 through another duct 10 to be guided out of an exhausting tower 12. On the other hand, captured dust is received by a hopper 13 to be guided out of an air locker 14.
