PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a composition which is high in safety and has an excellent periodontal tissue-activating action. SOLUTION: This composition for oral cavities contains one or more ingredients selected from the group consisting of the genus Hura plants, the genus Cedrela plants, the genus Peltogyne plants, the genus Dipteryx plants, the genus Vataireopsis plants, the genus Parkia plants, the genus Inga plants, the genus Dalbergia plants, the genus Hymdnolobium plants, and their extracts. The composition for oral cavities is stable, is excellent in safety and a periodontal tissue-activating action, and has an antiinflammatory effect, a wound-curing effect and preventing and improving effect on periodontal disease syndromes such as the atrophy and elasticity decrease of gums and hemorrhage, and can thereby be applied to an extremely wide range.
