PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a cockroach expellant sustaining a chemical effect, having no repellency, a slight influence on the environment and high safety. SOLUTION: Water is added to an aqueous solution of boric acid prepared by taking advantage of solubility of 3-4% boric acid in water at 20 deg.C and 30% at 100 deg.C and dissolving boric acid in water to prepare about 2% aqueous solution of boric acid. A small amount of fruit juice and an attractant are added to the aqueous solution to give the objective drink insecticide of the aqueous solution of boric acid against cockroach of exclusive use which pays attention to drinking water indispensable for maintenance of life of cockroach, makes cockroach suck and drink the insecticide to death without any resistance due to no repellency in spite of slow release, has a raised extermination effect and high safety and no influence on the environment due to a natural substance having low toxicity and is expected to have a preventing effect.
