The solenoid valve has magnetic circuit to open the valve against force of return spring. The magnetic circuit has two windings: attractor winding (20) and holding winding (22). The attractor winding has a reduced number of turns to reduce its inductance and thus speed its operation. The holding winding has four times the number of turns of the attractor winding and is supplied separately.
