<p>The instrument consists of a rigid plastic holder (10) with holes (11, 12) for the two side branches (4, 5) of a staple (1), and two template apertures (31. 32) for metal bushes (23, 24) of a drill guide (21). The apertures are cylindrical in shape, with the same or slightly smaller diameter than the guide bushes, and are open at the side for an angle of less than 180 degrees. One of the bushes is mounted on an adjustable bracket (27) so its position can be matched with the template aperture for the staple.</p> |
