PURPOSE: A discharge valve seat manufacturing apparatus of a valve plate for a compressor and a method thereof are provided to prevent leak of a discharge valve hole at high pressure by protruding the valve seat outward, and to reduce wear of the valve seat surface by increasing tilt of the valve seat. CONSTITUTION: The forming process(1) includes an assembling hole piercing step(11), a cold forging step(12) forming fluid guide cold forging parts(204a,205a) in base metal(300), a notching step(13) cutting the edge of an article, and a punching step(14) perforating suction and discharge valve holes(204,205), a refrigerant inlet hole(206) and a rivet hole(208). Lower parts of holes are chamfered(21), and upper parts of holes are rounded(2). The valve seat forming part is protruded more than an upper face of a valve plate around the discharge valve hole, and stress is distributed with forging the base metal(3). The base metal of the valve plate is cut after bending(4). A protruded valve seat(205b) is formed with pressing the base metal and the valve seat forming part(5). Leak and wear are prevented with improving contact and density of the valve seat surface.
