The method involves feeding the individual particles to be measured through a tribostatic tube (16) in which they are electrically charged and the electric field for charging each particle is recorded. An electrostatic probe (18) for recording the electric field for charging each particle encloses the tube. An Independent claim is also included for measuring sizes of individual particles in gases.
