The bicycle wheel has a metal rim (12) and a hub (14) connected to each other by a plastics spoke body (16) formed by injection molding. The spoke body has a central part (18) connected to the hub, and from the central part extend radially one-piece spokes (20). The outer ends (38) of the spokes are connected with the rim. The metal rim for fixed and direct connection of the outer ends of the spokes has inwardly extending anchoring components, suitable for accommodating tractive stresses. The rim is of the hollow chamber type.
