A drywall finishing system apparatus and method used to finish seams and corners in modern drywall construction. Interior and exterior flex-trim pieces are made having flanges (1) with an outer surface (2) prepared to directly receive paint or texture. These pieces can be supplied in standard lengths or on rolls. The flanges are scored (7) or grooved (8) to fold to fit into drywall seams. To use the pieces, the drywaller simply applies wet drywall mud to the seam and presses the piece into position. The optionally tapered or beveled edges (3) are then "killed" with a wide blade tool. When the mud dries, the piece is ready to receive paint or texture without sanding. It is possible to kill the edges a second time to achieve a perfect kill.
