PIGMENTED COATINGS FOR CERAMIC SUBSTRATES

A crosslinking composition, especially useful as a component of a composition useful for coating ceramic substrates, comprises (a) amino-functional curing agent; (b) blocked polyisocyanate; and, optionally, (c) organo-functional siloxane comprising a member selected from the group consisting of epoxy-functional siloxane, amino-functional siloxane, (blocked isocyanato)-functional siloxane, and a mixture of two or more thereof. The composition useful for coating ceramic substrates comprises (a) reactive organic resin which is polyhydroxy-functional, polyepoxy-functional, or epoxy-functional and hydroxy-functional; (b) color-imparting pigment; (c) reactive wax; and (d) the above crosslinking composition. The coating composition may be applied to ceramic substrates and cured. The preferred ceramic substrates are glass bottles.
