METHOD OF INHALATION ANESTHESIA AND EQUIPMENT THEREFOR

The inventive method comprises the following steps: preparing a xenon-based anesthetic; performing an anesthesia of a partial-reversible type and decontaminating the gas mixtures during the stages of inhaling and exhaling; absorbing CO2 and H2O from the exhaled mixture; re-injecting such a mixture in the inhaling stage, with the option of removing the excess, and collecting the mixture exhaled after anesthesia; recycling xenon through adsorption / desorption thereof followed by returning the recycled xenon to the stage of preparation of the anesthetic; separating organic and fluorinated compounds by means of getters and performing an analytic control of xenon; and finally returning the regenerated xenon to the stage of preparation of the anesthetic. The inventive equipment contains a narcosis apparatus, a replaceable cartridge filled with an adsorbent, a xenon recycling unit and a cryopump. The narcosis apparatus comprises sources of compressed gasses with flowmeters, an evaporator of fluorinated liquid compounds, a content analyzer for anesthetics, bactericide filters and a CO2 and H2O absorber. The xenon recycling unit includes a desorbing device, a vacuum pump, an apparatus with getter filler, a tank for recycled xenon collection and a chromatograph. The source of compressed xenon, the cartridge and the tank are installed on an electronic scale. The invention allows for multiple use of xenon while minimizing losses thereof and makes it possible to use one recycling unit for several clinics.
