<p>A semiconductor chip comprises a semiconductor substrate, on the surface of which is formed a DRAM whose cell includes a series circuit of a field-effect transistor and a capacitor. The semiconductor chip has its back covered with opaque substance opposed to the surface of the semiconductor substrate. The opaque substance absorbs or reflects light in near-infrared to visible region of shorter wavelength than 1.12 microns. The sides of the semiconductor substrate are covered with the opaque substance.</p> |
