COMPOSITION FOR PREVENTING CAVITY

PURPOSE: Provided is a composition for preventing cavity by comprising specific component to inhibit glucosyl transferase activity associated with formation of water-soluble or water-insoluble glucan in a desirable amount. CONSTITUTION: The composition comprises any one selected from a group consisting of (+)-gallocatechin, gallocatechin-(4α→8)-catechin and prodelphinidin B-3, all of them being extracted from leave of persimmon trees its available component. Such components are obtained by extracting the persimmon tree leave then conducting Thin Layer Chromatography to separate the components. Further, by a second TLC, the fractional components are progressed through TLC. The obtained component is under a color reaction and its chemical structure is determined by thiolysis and desulfurization processes. The composition is expected to inhibit activation of the glucosyl transferase causing the cavity.
