A container caddy (100) for use with a shopping cart. The container caddy includes a container receptacle (120) and an attachment bracket (170). The attachment bracket includes a positioning element (240) and a locking element. The attachment bracket can be positioned on the shopping cart and the container receptacle can be maneuvered by the positioning element until locked into place by the locking element.
